Glenn Beck really is the dumbest person on the planet

So I don’t always agree with Olbermann. Hardly ever, in fact. But in this video he catches Beck in such an absurdity that I can’t even begin to explain it.

And the quotation is from Beck’s book. Not something he blathered on the air. From his book, where one might think that maybe, just maybe, an editor or fact-checker might have corrected his stupidity before it went to print.

This is the guy representing modern conservatism? What would William F. Buckley say?

    JOHN BAGLOW writes:
The Liberal Party’s recent thinkers’ conference yielded a set of priorities so vague that any party would have been comfortable advancing them.

So true. The conference was planned to give a boost to Ignatief and not to the party. It was a dismal failure as is Ignatief as the leader.

As a long-standing Liberal, now disgusted with the party, this is what I would have said at the conference – if I was invited.(who did the inviting?)

The Liberal Party should put to pasture those so-called ‘thinkers’. Those are the people that are running around with oil in their bottles looking for someone to annoint as the leader of the party. They’ve done this several times already with disastrous results having annointed John Turner, Paul Martin and now Michael Ignatief. None of whom were the choice of members of the party and each a disaster to the party. Leaving in it’s wake some leaders we were very proud of.

Ignagtief needs to step out and allow a proper nomination for a leader by members of the party and not those marketers of the oil.

Get back to basics, eliminate the system of eliminating minorities from running for office and as candidates.

Bring back the party that I and so many were so proud of. For me, at this stage, it is almost embarrasing to say I am a Liberal.
